KIT CHALLENGE (11/12)

Next challenge --  use monthly kit club (old or new) and make 2 layouts and 1 card!  GO!!  Kit contents must make up 80% of what's on the projects.

Now that is fugly

Heres what I came up with.. Anniversary photo.. sparkle on the stamp image showing the red... cream journal box, I used transparency letters baby.. backed on sweet blue pattern paper.. and some threads for a touch.. Don't forget that happening ribbon by the "title?" 
OK yeah, that was actually fun.. but I did notice. .I chose blue to go with my layout.. but peach is an orange.. and well orange and blue are complementary colors.. so I guess that is just in my blood.. can't help it!

JONI - FUGLY Challenge #5

OK..so see challenge #5 below...and here is mine...I USED ALL of the elements....

I did realize that I used a photo of Joseph which is technically cute and not FUGLY...but at least I picked a bad photo...and do note that I spelled the title incorrectly (on purpose)....  It was actually kinda difficult to purposefully put things where they DON'T BELONG!!!

Challenge #5 - FUGLY CHALLENGE

OK...so we have a challenge at another board that reads like this:

Use Peach and Cream OR do an anniversary layout -- use ribbon or something sparkly.

HUH???  --- So Erika & Joni...in their teasing each other way, decided to do a FUGLY version of this challenge for the next JAKE challenge.  

Challenge #5 ---

Challenge #5....enjoy our vacations...our summers...etc.
In our minds or journals, document the month of July.....then in AUGUST, our challenge is to do a specific layout about July or something we did in July.  (Easy Peasy, huh?)
So, we're basically on a break here...ok?

Challenge #4 - Joni

I used Cosmo Material Girl (and I think maybe a little of Garden Variety too)...and Oct Aft Fly a Kite. 
Used Sketchy Thursday sketch.  Everything is poppped...the rulers, the photos...part of the title.  Really looks fun in person.

I'm going to get specific since that makes it MORE challenging sometimes....  but you know how we are...veer off in any direction is acceptable.

You must use these 2 paper lines on your project.   (I think they match pretty well?)

Ok, so I was a slacker on this one...and it took me a while..and it's not that great.  But, I'm calling it done.

Summer is heating up!  SOOOO lets do a layout that is HOT, HOT, HOT.. Can be colors or theme.. maybe even you!   Just let the song "Some like it HOT!" be an inspiration..

Challenge #1 - Erika

OK so I HATE this layout.. I struggled because I think I was trying to hard to do the layout LIKE Lizzy K... (who by the way announced that she is pregnant with her third child yesterday)

BUT they can't all be our favorites.. and my hubby is some kind of wonerful.. cute huh? the words to the song I wrote all around his photo..did not come out as dark as I would like so I added a stickle underline.. here it is

Challenge #2 - Joni - Card

Ok, thanks E for making me get out of my box.  I don't DO cards..... so this one is tough for me.  But I don't really need to do a Mother's Day card, so instead I did a Thank You card for my son's Kindergarten teacher.  I have been seeing those "easel" cards, so I winged it and did one of those.  This will also be a post for my SOS DT to "get out of my box".... I'm going ahead and posting it here since it's "just us girls" before it posts on SOS.

Joni #1 - Ornery

ok, so for Challenge number 1 -- since my birthday is Sept 21st, I had to do Challenge #21 from Elizabeth Kartchners 52 challenges book.  It reads:  Design Your Own Paper-Pieced Accent.

Really?  Paper Piecing....who's idea was this challenge anyway?  Oh....  Well, a challenge is a challenge....
And honestly, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out!  Used Sassafrass Apple Jack (new) and Monsters (old), which I don't mix too often so that was really good for me!  And although it's not really a paper-pieced accent....well, that's the point right..use the challenge as a jumping off point.  (and Joseph likes it, so that makes me very happy.. he said it looks like the shovel is digging a hole for the worm...lol!)
